Website widget
Embed the chat widget on any website with a single script tag, and customize how it looks and greets visitors.
The website widget is a chat bubble you drop onto any web page. It's included on every plan and takes one line of HTML to install.
Install it
Copy the snippet
On the agent's Channels page, open the Website widget card and copy the embed snippet. It looks like this:

Add the snippet to your site's HTML — ideally just before the closing </body>
tag, on every page you want the widget to appear. Site builders usually have a
"custom code" or "embed" area for this.
Publish
Reload your site and the launcher appears in the bottom corner.
Customize the look
The widget's appearance comes from the agent's Playground and Settings:
- Colors, title, subtitle, greeting, launcher text, and logo — set on the Playground.
- Conversation starters — up to 8 tappable suggestions, set on the Playground or in Settings → Branding.
- "Powered by FluentChat" footer — can be hidden on plans that include the branding-removal feature.
A greeting teaser bubble can pop up shortly after the page loads to invite the visitor in (only if you've set a greeting).
What visitors can do
Depending on what the agent supports, visitors can type, tap starter and quick-reply chips, browse product cards, open checkout and booking links, upload images, and send voice messages. For the full picture see Widget experience.
Turning replies on and off
The Bot switch on the widget card controls whether the agent replies automatically. With it off, conversations still come into your inbox for you to answer.
