Connect a Telegram bot by pasting a token from BotFather — no OAuth required.
Connect a Telegram bot and your agent will reply to its direct messages. Telegram requires a plan that includes the Telegram channel feature.
Create a bot
Talk to BotFather
In Telegram, open @BotFather and send /newbot. Choose a name and username.
Copy the token
BotFather gives you a token that looks like
123456789:ABCdefGhIJKlmNoPQRsTUVwxyz.
Connect
On the agent's Channels page, open the Telegram card, paste the bot token, and click Connect. FluentChat verifies the bot and registers its webhook automatically. The token is stored encrypted.
The agent handles private (one-to-one) chats. Group and channel messages are ignored.
Manage the connection
- Bot switch — turn automatic replies on or off.
- Disconnect — stop routing this bot to the agent; you can re-bind it later.
