Accounts & sign-in
How to sign up, verify your email, sign in with a password or Google, and reset a forgotten password.
Sign up
Create an account at the Register page with:
- Full name (at least 2 characters)
- Password (8–128 characters)
You can also continue with Google instead of creating a password.
After you register with email, FluentChat sends a verification email. Open the link before you sign in.
You must verify your email before you can sign in with a password. If you try to sign in first, the login screen offers a Resend verification email button (with a 60-second cooldown between sends).
Verify your email
The verification page has a few states:
- Waiting — check your inbox; the page shows the address we sent to.
- Verifying — shown briefly when you open the link.
- Verified — a green confirmation; you can now sign in.
- Expired or invalid — request a new link and try again.
Sign in
Sign in with your email and password, or with Google. On success you land in the dashboard.
The sign-in screen shows a clear message for each situation, including:
- Email not verified — with a resend button.
- Invalid email or password.
- No account found with this email.
- Account suspended — contact support.
- Too many attempts — wait a moment and try again (rate limiting).
Reset a forgotten password
Request a reset
On Forgot password, enter your email. We send a reset link. (For your privacy, the confirmation looks the same whether or not an account exists for that address.)
Choose a new password
Open the link and set a new password (8–128 characters), entered twice. Reset links expire — if yours has, request a new one.
Sign in
Use your new password to sign in.
Accepting a team invitation
If a teammate invites you, you'll get an email with an invite link. Sign in with the email address the invite was sent to, then choose Accept invitation. You'll join their workspace and land in the dashboard. If you're signed in with a different email, the page warns you before you continue. See Team.
